MISSION

The Santa Barbara Mariachi Festival, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to
promoting and preserving the tradition of mariachi music and directing its revenues
to provide scholarships that help further the education of Latino students.

BACKGROUND

From 1995 to today...

The Santa Barbara Mariachi Festival was co-founded by Salud Carbajal and Al Pizano,
who both served as co-presidents for the first several years of the organization.
It was officially recognized as a non-profit organization with the creation of its by-laws in 1995.

Over 25 years of Mariachi Festivals have enabled us to provide numerous
scholarships to our local youth in Santa Barbara County. We envision many more successful years to come!
